Three new iShares ETFs launched on Xetra

ETFs based on interest-rate hedged corporate bonds and large and mid-caps


Two new equity index ETFs and one new bond index ETF issued by iShares have been tradable in Deutsche Börse’s XTF segment since Monday.

The iShares $ Corporate Bond Interest Rate Hedged UCITS ETF tracks the performance of fixed-income bonds denominated in US dollars issued by companies with an Investment Grade rating, while hedging against interest rate risk.

The underlying interest rate risk is hedged on a monthly basis through the sale of US government bonds.

The new iShares equity index ETFs track the performance of various large and mid-cap companies from the EMU. The MSCI EMU Large Cap comprises shares from eleven industrialised countries in the euro zone and thus represents around 70% of free float market capitalisation. The MSCI EMU Large Cap contains around 15% of the free float market capitalisation in the euro zone available to investors. The weighting of the individual shares within each index is calculated by means of size and liquidity screening according to market capitalisation.

The product offering in Deutsche Börse’s XTF segment currently comprises a total of 1,013 exchange-listed index funds, making it the largest offering of all European stock exchanges. This selection, together with an average monthly trading volume of €11 billion, makes Xetra Europe’s leading trading venue for ETFs.
