UBS Global Asset Management is the first provider in Europe to launch a UCITS ETF on the UBS Multi Asset Portfolio (UBS MAP Index) on the SIX Swiss Exchange. The ETF provides investors with an exposure to a multi asset investment strategy investing in equities, commodities and bonds.

The new UBS-ETF MAP Balanced 7 UCITS ETF invests using a rules-based and fully transparent MAP Strategy, which is based on the Multi Asset Portfolio Index, originated by UBS. The concept of risk parity ensures that all portfolio components are weighted to contribute equally to the overall risk, as measured by its volatility. The ETF aims to provide sustained performance with limited downside risk.

    Key benefits:

The MAP Strategy aims to achieve constant investment success in all market conditions through an ongoing automatic investment process
Dynamic weighting so that each risky asset class contributes the same amount to the overall risk (volatility)
Market sentiment enhancement based on the UBS Dynamic Equity Risk Indicator (DERI) is used to determine changes in the asset allocation
The ETF can be either exposed to a leverage of up to 200% during calm market periods or invested only in bonds and cash during severe market shocks
Exposure to the portfolio is controlled to ensure that volatility is maintained around the target level of 7%
