State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), one of the world’s leading providers of financial services to institutional investors, announced today the appointment of Marietta Cisari as senior relationship executive within the Global Relationship Management team. Cisari will be based in Milan and will report to Thomas Bergenroth, managing director and international head of Global Relationship Management at State Street.

Cisari joins with extensive industry experience from BNY Mellon London where she was a global account manager for EMEA covering investment banks, insurance companies, investment managers, corporations and banks. She has spent six years at BNY Mellon and prior to this also held strategy and product management positions at Euroclear Brussels and BNP Paribas as well as relationship management and operations positions with JP Morgan in Brussels, London and Milan.

Bergenroth commented, “Marietta joins our Relationship Management team with more than 20 years of experience managing and expanding client relationships across Europe. Her appointment further supports State Street’s commitment to expanding our international business and emphasises the importance we place on our client relationships. Marietta’s arrival represents the further geographic expansion of our team as she will be based in our Milan office. She will take responsibility for our strategic Italian and Southern European clients and will provide a strong local presence for State Street’s Global Relationship Management team.”

The announcement follows the recent opening of two new State Street offices in Milan and Turin as part of the firm’s successful integration efforts for the Intesa Sanpaolo securities servicing business in Italy and Luxembourg that State Street acquired in May 2010.
