Vanguard Investments Switzerland GmbH has recruited Peter Ritler as senior institutional sales executive in Switzerland………

Mr Ritler will be responsible for building Vanguard’s Swiss institutional business, alongside Jacques-Etienne Doerr and Rula Schoenberger, focusing on the firm’s index fund and ETF product ranges. Mr Ritler will be based in Zurich and will report to Simon Vanstone, head of Vanguard’s European institutional business.
Prior to joining Vanguard, Mr Ritler spent the previous 10 years at Threadneedle Investments in Zurich, and held the role of senior sales manager since 2007. Prior to Threadneedle Investments, Mr Ritler served five years in portfolio management at Bank Leu.
Commenting on the appointment, Simon Vanstone said, “We are pleased to welcome Peter Ritler to our Vanguard Institutional Sales team in Switzerland. Peter has extensive experience with the Swiss market and will play a key role in helping Vanguard build its footprint still further in the region as a low-cost investment leader.”
Vanguard offers a broad range of equity and fixed income index funds to investors in Switzerland. Vanguard recently listed three of its exchange traded funds (ETFs) to the SIX Swiss Exchange, increasing its presence in, and demonstrating its commitment to, the Swiss market. Vanguard’s pan-European business services institutional and retail investors, including pension schemes, insurance companies, multi-managers, fund-of-funds and sovereign wealth funds. Vanguard’s European headquarters are in London, with regional offices in Zurich, Paris and Amsterdam.
