US investment provider launches three ETFs

London Stock Exchange today welcomes First Trust, a US investment provider, as a new issuer of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) on its Main Market. First Trust is launching three of its AlphaDEX ETFs that offer an alternative stock weighting scheme based on a range of growth and value scores.
Gillian Walmsley, Head of Listed Products at London Stock Exchange, said:
“We’re delighted that First Trust has chosen London to make its entry onto the European ETF market. London Stock Exchange remains the pre-eminent European destination for ETF issuers and investors and we expect to see continued growth in the number of issuers and products available in 2013.”

First Trust is the latest US provider to issue ETFs on London Stock Exchange joining Vanguard and SPDR.
There are over 1,000 Exchange Traded Products listed on London Stock Exchange including all of the top ten European ETPs ranked by 2012 inflows. Last month, London Stock Exchange achieved a 28% market share of all ETF & ETP trading in Europe with the combined London Stock Exchange Group reaching a market share of 45%.
