10.3 % decline versus the previous month. The total number of transactions also decreased, namely by 8.1 % to 2,598,360. Compared to the October 2009 readings, only the CHF Bonds segment managed to record an increase in turnover of 8.1 % to CHF 12.2 billion, whereby the number of transactions in ETFs also rose by 4.4 % to 52,169. The share indices painted a mixed picture in November 2009, with the blue chip SMI® index closing out the month at 6,261.0 (-0.4 % versus the previous month), the SLI Swiss Leader Index® PR at 957.0 (+1.1 %) and the broadly based SPI® at 5,388.4 (-0.3 %).
